“Sculpture/Printer_Office, the first book by Matteo Cremonesi, examines an ordinary object of the contemporary landscape, withdrawing it from its function in order to question its status, form, and presence. Through a sequence of forty-three images structured around the repetition of details, close-ups, and profiles, the subject is subjected to a process of systematic and prolonged observation. Repetition does not generate redundancy, but rather activates perceptual variation, transforming the object into a field of visual tension. The surface—emerging from a sustained relationship between gaze and matter—becomes the site where the image suspends use and opens onto a contemplative dimension.
